Whats new: another stormy weekend? We can’t be disappointed, but use the opporturnity to do something different. Like a morning hike in the light rain up Albany Hill with the heavy pack. And maybe tomorrow more sprint intervals up the 10% grade on the top section of the hill on the bike during a break in the storm.
Last night, we Albanians enjoyed quite a hail and thunderstorm. Flashes and booms just one to several seconds apart indicated a giant cumulus overhead, and hail came down violently for a good while. The street was covered in white, some mounds of hail below the downspouts. Here is our front walk:

Anyway, I already cancelled tomorrows GPC ride, especially considering the lightning from last night and remembering the injury on last week’s ride.

Once again, the forecast shows too much danger for a climb up (and descent down) a mountain in lighting and hail with slippery roads. Ride canceled.
Mt. Hamilton forecast for tomorrow.
Sunday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce small hail. High near 43. Windy, with a south wind 30 to 33 mph decreasing to between 17 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 49 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
